Book Your Next Rafting Trip

Written by Ben Sack, 06.26.2014

Whether it was your first time, or you thousandth, you know how much fun you had last year with Echo Canyon River Expeditions. Rafting through the Royal Gorge, braving some of the most extreme whitewater the Arkansas River has to offer, or floating through the Bighorn Sheep Canyon with its stunning scenic beauty – those memories are ones you’ll keep for life.
The Summer Rafting Season is here and river flows are making for big splashes and exciting whitewater – you don’t want to miss it. Book your trip now, and make sure you get in on the fun. Whether you’re planning for the whole family, for a group of friends, or for yourself, Echo Canyon is the place you’ll find the best, most knowledgeable and most well-trained guides – reason enough to make us your return choice this summer.

It’s all About the Water

But, even more importantly, the reason you should be booking your summer plans at Echo Canyon is the river itself. The water flows are impressive this season, and you already know the scenery, rapids and floats are unmatched. Echo has so many package options, too – you’d have to come plenty of times, for a few years at least, to get a taste of all of it. Take the popular Bighorn Sheep Canyon/Parkdale trip again, and see the wildlife on the banks of the river. We’ve been seeing an abundance of Bighorn Sheep Rams on recent runs through the canyon – come and join us so you can check them out, too. Or combine a few adventures – like the Raft-n-Rail, or Raft & Zipline or Raft &ATV packages to round out a memorable vacation. One of the beauties of these package trips is you have no planning to do for a day of your vacation. Are you looking for even more outdoor activities to keep the kids entertained? Check out all of the attractions in the Pikes Peak area; you’ll find a variety of options sure to please your family and friends.

Simply call our friendly staff and they’ll set it all up for you. After all, you’re on vacation so you deserve to have a day where you don’t have to think about logistics – instead you can focus on an enjoyable day of activities with your family.

This Year, Add a Boost to Your Adrenaline

If you’re up for boosting the adrenaline a little more this year, consider reserving your chance to take one of our Royal Gorge rafting trips, either a half day trip or a full day experience, to get your blood really pumping! Full day trips include a delicious riverside steak lunch and lots of sides to satisfy even the biggest of appetites. We’ve also got Group Packages for the budding whitewater junkie or the seasoned expert. Maybe you’re up for a raft and camp package for your group or perhaps you’re planning an unforgettable bachelor or bachelorette party.

Make It an Overnight Camping and Rafting Trip

A lot of our returning rafting guests choose to dive in to a bit more adventure and join our guides for a multi-day rafting and camping trip. By far, our most popular overnight rafting trip is our 2 day Browns Canyon and Royal Gorge rafting trip. We love this combo because we start on a wilderness section of class III whitewater, Browns Canyon – a section of the Arkansas River that has been proposed as a new National Monument! The scenery can’t be beat and we end the first day by camping in the lower canyon right near the river so you can dip your toes in the water or cast a line and try your luck with some fishing. After a hot breakfast the following morning we head for the Royal Gorge section of whitewater to up the adrenaline and excitement levels.

Is a 2 day trip just not enough for you? Then add a day and night and make it a 3 day river rafting experience. Either way, Echo Canyon River Expeditions is the place to find all the best options, all on the best stretch of river in the state. Give us a call – we’d love to help you make it another summer of wonderful memories. Call us at 800-755-3246.
