Our course comprises 5 cables including the fan-favorite “Leap of Faith”, where you will run and jump over the cliff’s edge.
The class II-III family rapids will take you through an 8 mile section of the Arkansas River called Bighorn Sheep Canyon, which certainly lives up to it's name.
Option to travel into the heart of the gorge, following the historic route of the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad.
At Echo Canyon, we’ve partnered with our friends at Adventures Out West (AOW) to provide you with an incredible zip line and white water rafting package. The Adventures Out West zipline location is just 10 minutes west of Colorado Springs in picturesque Manitou Springs.
The tour begins with a half-mile jeep ride from the parking area to the zip line course. There you’ll receive a brief but thorough safety orientation and a practice zip. Then you’re on your way! Your highly-skilled instructors will carefully assist you and secure you every step of the way. Settled at the edge of a beautiful canyon, this course comprises 5 cables including the fan-favorite “Leap of Faith”, where you will run and jump over the cliff’s edge, or stroll at your leisure. Regardless of what kind of rush you’re looking for, this Colorado Springs zip line course is simply beautiful and it’s a good time for all.
For the rafting portion of our zip line and white water rafting trip, you can choose to raft a milder family-class section of whitewater, or you can opt to experience thrilling class IV rapids in the Royal Gorge.
Our family-class section will treat you to class II-III rapids, suitable for first-time rafters or those looking for a more laid-back day on the river. You’ll travel through approximately 8 miles of the Arkansas River Valley called Bighorn Sheep Canyon where, true to its name, you may spot some of the famed Bighorn Sheep.
If you prefer your rapids bigger and bolder, you may instead opt for the world-class section of whitewater called the Royal Gorge. Here, you’ll travel into the heart of the gorge, following the historic route of the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad as it courses through the rocky outcroppings of the canyon. The river drops at a rate of about 60 feet per mile on this section, which means that the rapids are faster and the rapids are more exciting. You’ll encounter about a dozen class IV-V rapids on this scenic and exhilarating stretch of white water. to discuss options for adding younger members of your group to the rafting only portion of your trip.
Please note that Raft & Zip package trips have both activities occurring on the same day. If you would like to raft and zip on different days, please contact our reservations specialists (800-755-3246) for a quote and availability. Due to the zip line harness limits, all participants must weigh at least 50 pounds but not more than 250 pounds to participate in the zip line adventure. Have a mix of older and younger participants? Call us to discuss options for adding younger members of your group to the rafting only portion of your trip.
