What is Rafting Bighorn Sheep Canyon Like?
This rafting trip is the most popular choice for beginner and intermediate rafters. Here you’ll find a number of class III rapids – a class of rapids best described as family-friendly. At high water flows you’ll sometimes experience class IV rapids. You’ll find yourself splashing and laughing as you bounce from one rapid to the next, enjoying many peaceful stretches where you can take in the majesty of the river canyon.
When rafting Bighorn Sheep Canyon, you’re likely to spot a variety of wildlife along this trip as you float past crowds of Willows and Cottonwood trees. You might catch birds like Golden Eagles and Peregrine Falcons flying above, while a variety of trout swim below.

The first rapid you’ll encounter on the full-day trip will is aptly named “Warm Up,” but later rapids with names like “Sharks Tooth” and “Double Dip” will take you for a spin! Many of the most exciting rapids can be found in both trips, so you know you’ll have lots of fun no matter which rafting trip you choose!
