FAQs about Multi-Day Rafting Trips

Our multi-day rafting trips include nearly everything you’ll need for a 2 or 3 day experience. On-water wetsuit gear is available, and we’ll take care of tents, sleeping bags and sleeping pads as well. Basically, you need a swim suit to wear under your wetsuit, perhaps a thin synthetic shirt for on the river which doubles as both an insulation layer and sun protection, and comfortable clothing for camp. Consider a headlamp or flashlight, a personal water bottle and sunscreen. A complete list of what we include and what we recommend you bring is available in our multi-day preparation and packing list document.

Multi-day trips are certainly suitable for beginners. More important than having river experience, is having an appreciation and intersted in camping for a night or two. We find that a first time camper may have more questions than a first time rafter! Be sure to mention to our staff you have no rafting experience when reserving your trip so we can ensure we gradually work our way up to more adventurous whitewater as the trip progresses.

Children are allowed on certain beginner to intermediate level multi-day trips. While our minimum age for children on day trips is around 6, we recommend kids on multi-day trips are around 8-10 years of age so they can better enjoy and appreciate the experience. If you have further questions about if a multi-day trip is the right choice for your children, we’re happy to assist and give guidance. 800-755-3246
