White Water Rafting Birthday Parties

Are you tired of the same old birthday parties? House parties, dinners out, and concerts are always a fun way to spend an evening…but there must be something more memorable that you can do to celebrate making it through another year!

If you’re looking for a fun, adventurous birthday party idea that all of your friends will enjoy, a rafting trip down the beautiful…and powerful…Arkansas River may be just what you need.

Read on to learn what you need to know to plan a birthday party you’ll relive for years to come.

When is Colorado Rafting Season?

Outfitters offer group rafting trips from mid-April through mid-September. The exact dates vary from one year to the next thanks to weather and water levels.

No matter when you come, you’ll find trips perfect for the beginner or those looking for a bit more of a challenge. If you want to come out when the water levels are at their highest and the rapids are at their most exciting, mid-May through mid-July tend to be the high water months.

How Old Do You Have to be to go Rafting in Colorado?

We recommend that kids are at least 4-6 years old to go rafting, but maturity and temperament also play a role. If you’re not sure if everyone if your group is ready, give us a call and we’ll help you decide.

You can even bring your grandparents on some of our trips. With a variety of trips designed for different age groups, there is a trip suited for you.

What if Some of My Friends Are Less Adventurous?

the most gentle river class - class IIs your group full of thrill seekers who are ready to take on a challenge? Or do you have a few beginners who are a bit more hesitant to jump right in?

If your group is mixed, it’s best to either split up and do two trips, or pick a trip that even the least adventurous will enjoy.

We offer beginning rafting trips that are a good time for everyone. They’re calm enough for the most cautious among us, while still offering periods of fun whitewater that’ll send you and your friends splashing down the river!

What Can We do After Rafting?

Once you get into the mountains, it can be hard to leave. And why should you? It’s your birthday!

To experience even more excitement, choose an action packed rafting package that includes other fun-filled outdoor activities. From zip lining to ATV tours, rafting packages can help you get the most from your day in nature.

If you have the time, spend the night or the weekend in the Rocky Mountains. Any excuse is a good excuse to get away from the city and immerse yourself in nature. There are countless camp sites throughout the region, or you can experience a bit more comfort in one of our luxury cabins or glamping tents.

There’s nothing better than sitting around a fire with your friends, laughing as you relive your whitewater memories, bathed in a sea of starlight and crisp mountain air.
