Outfitters offer group rafting trips from mid-April through mid-September. The exact dates vary from one year to the next thanks to weather and water levels.
No matter when you come, you’ll find trips perfect for the beginner or those looking for a bit more of a challenge. If you want to come out when the water levels are at their highest and the rapids are at their most exciting, mid-May through mid-July tend to be the high water months.
How Old Do You Have to be to go Rafting in Colorado?
We recommend that kids are at least 4-6 years old to go rafting, but maturity and temperament also play a role. If you’re not sure if everyone if your group is ready, give us a call and we’ll help you decide.
