Royal Gorge Rafting Trips
The Royal Gorge offers the best continuous whitewater rafting in Colorado. While navigating such rapids as Sunshine Falls, Sledgehammer and Boat Eater you will pass beneath the famous Royal Gorge Bridge which stands almost 1,100 feet above the surface of the river. A trip down the rapids for the truly adventurous, the Royal Gorge run is a favorite rafting trip of locals and visitors alike.
To participate in the Royal Gorge Adventure-Class Whitewater trip guests must be in good physical condition and able to swim. Please call if you are unsure if this trip is appropriate for any individual in your party.

Royal Gorge Rafting Double Dip!
If you consider yourself to be a whitewater junkie, then we have the perfect trip for you. Take a Double Dip down the Royal Gorge with two back-to-back half-day runs down the rough-and-tumble Arkansas River. In between runs, enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by the Raft Echo staff to refuel for the second half of the day where you'll be served a generous second helping of EXTREME WHITEWATER!

The Numbers Section
(Very advanced, Class IV-V)
This section of the Arkansas is considered by many to be the the most extreme adrenaline rush on the Arkansas River! Beginning at nearly 9,000 feet in elevation, this section requires the negotiation on a bevy of fierce obstacles using tight maneuvers. A stretch of whitewater that's not for the faint of heart, this rafting adventure delivers some of the most exciting rapids on the Arkansas River.
Due to the vigorous nature of this section of Adventure-Class Whitewater, all participants must be in good physical condition and have the ability to swim. Availability is limited, so please call for more information. Numbers trips depart from our Four Corners/ Buffalo Joes office in Buena Vista.

Our adrenaline rafts are smaller and designed to aggressively navigate even the most challenging rapids. These small and maneuverable rafts offer a maximum group size of four paddlers plus one of our expert guides, resulting in a more exciting and exclusive experience. In order to participate, rafters must be confident swimmers and in very good physical condition. Prepare for a taste of true Colorado whitewater adventure as these little boats really cook on down the river. Call for dates of availability due to fluctuating water flows on this stretch of the river.

Clear Creek Intermediate Half Day
Take things up a notch and paddle adventure-class whitewater with our Clear Creek Intermediate Half Day. You won't get much practice time before you drop into the first class IV rapid on this technical and steep run! Be prepared for thrills, chills and spills on this raucous whitewater adventure.
This is a physically demanding trip; all guests should be in good physical condition. Clear Creek trips depart from our AVA office near Idaho Springs, just 45 minutes from Denver.
Half-day (9 miles)

May 1st - July 15th departs daily at 10:00 and 1:30.
July 16th - August 14th departs daily at 10:00 and 2:00.

Clear Creek Intermediate Full Day
Enjoy a full day of river rafting excitement on Clear Creek! You'll get a warm up in the morning as we paddle the Beginner section including class II and III rapids to break you in. After a lunch break we'll crank up the excitement and head to the Intermediate section where you'll take on steep and technical class IV rapids. A great rafting trip for families with older teens or young adults, this full day run will soak you to the bone and send you home happy.
